Les give his defensive stars ample opportunity to shine. Not many teams offer 100+ defensive snaps to accumulate 19 tackles.
That says it all.

He had Ware in and not Hill for two reasons :
1. Ware is a better pass rush pickup RB than Hill (this takes experience that Hill doesnt have yet), and we were certainly getting a pass rush in the 4th. Plus Ware is a rushing threat as well and if we need 3 yrds, I say Ware gets 3 over Hill in a cloud of dust. Ware runs like Pierre Thomas and has better hands out of the backfield.
2. Ware was going pro and Miles was giving him the nod over a 1st yr guy to show his final stuff for the pro scouts. Miles is famous for this. Few coaches do that. It helps with recruiting also.

He has proven his detractors wrong over and over again. Perhaps that's why so many cant let it go and always wait for their opportunity to pounce. They want to be right, even more than their team having success. ...and that really sucks.

Of course Minter is happy. He is getting ready to get a big payday. He was allowed to succeed because Miles let's Chavis do the coaching.
Be a lot more interested to hear what some of the offense players had to say off the record in a bull session over a couple of beers.

Very classy!!!! Will definitely be missed next year. Of all the juniors I was hoping for him to return more than any.

Only the offensive players hate him

If most of our fans had half the sense that Minter has, the Rant would be a much more tolerable place.
I'd say it would make the Rant a much more boring place. I hate it when LSU loses. But it does ease the sting a little to come on here and watch the sunshine pumpers and the shite pumpers go after each other.

Great guy, but he just sucks as a gameday coach.

Of course I did, that's why I think we need to hire a top OC and put Stud back at OL coach. But remember how he got there. Miles cannot be blamed for his OC getting diagnosed with Parkinson's a week or two before 2011's season opener and Stud performed well enough to not be demoted or fired last yr, even with the NC game debacle. I do think he has been given his time to prove himself and perhaps he is better suited to OL coach. It is my opinion that he is. But I think its certainly worth noting, that this Miles/Stud/Kragthorpe offense put up more stats on a Nick Saban defense that any other team since '07 (we were the last ones as well and back in '07 that was Shula's players).
Your forget to mention that was the most prolific offense in recent history. But Miles then did insert JJ in lieu of JL who had had much to do with that prolifiicness. What a quandary.

basically he said, "the game was close and the chips didn't fall our way in the end" leaving it up to luck
That is literally the weakest criticism I've heard.
LOL

Most people don't have a problem with miles, just the consistent lack of production on offense, which is ultimately Mett's
responsibility.
Tired of the Miles bashing...time for Mett to step up and take some of the responsibility...did he read too many of his own press clippings?? That second down miss still looms big...

Minter was committed and enrolled before chavis was named coach. So fir one, hes not a tiger with out miles and he doesnt get to be coached by chavis with out miles.

I dont believe this. Not when he has multiple come from behind wins. Adjustments obviously had to be made for us to come out on top in some of those.

Damn the players really do hate Miles.

Most of these guys love playing for Miles. The constant hate on Miles is juvenile and reflective of ignorance relative to the 90's and the state of LSU football at that time. Thank goodness for Saban rebuilding the program and the fact that Miles followed him. Won't be popular with some but don't really care.

Tru, and did ya'll know that of his 83 wins, 1/4 of them were come from behind wins in the 4th quarter?
And of all his losses, they were all close cept 1/09/12, which was actually still close til the 4th (only 1 td in the game).
We didnt cross the 50 til the 4th, they didnt cross the 20 til the 4th.
