He is not an elite coach.

How many times do we have to go through this shite?

He has an in game flaw and an administrative flaw.

His in game flaw is that he comes into a game, any game, with one plan and it either works or it does not. Whether it works or not does not seem to influence his game plan. He rides his offensive game plan to the ground and would rather lose than adjust it.

Administratively, he is much more pathetic. He is going on how many years without a real offensive coordinator? He commands a perennial top five program and can anyone explain why we don't have a real OC?

How crazy is that?

We need to demand excellence and not just pay a big salary. There are good coaches out there. Saban is not the only one. Les is good, but he can't cut it.

I agree with your post, but I've no idea why you think Mile$ is a "great guy" and I've no idea why so many posters feel compelled to say this.

I don't know that Le$ is not a decent guy but I also know nothing about him as a person, which makes me like 99 percent of the other people who post on TD.

I've seen Mile$ lie to the press and fans, I've seen him leverage the shite out of faux media interest by other schools in order to raise his pay and I've never seen his players (current or past) rally to his defense, much less to support him.

Aside from the obligatory head coach trips to childrens' hospitals and the heartwarming PR stories about his family, what exactly makes Le$ a "great guy" versus just a "guy?"

I think he's an elite coach. I do.

However, his loyalty to his staff is one of his worst flaws. That and being stubborn, which may be one in the same.

It took him forever to get rid of Crowton and Crowton left because he was going to be fired in the end, if I remember right.

Sort of the same thing here. Miles brings in Krags to be the OC, he has to step down because of health reasons. So Stud is promoted to that internally, rather than looking for a proven OC. On top of that, you have the same play calling since '08.

He is very smart (I know, I know, wait for it) but I don't understand why that OC light doesn't come on, especially after 5 years of the same stuff. I've met him several times and he's very smart, just from the way he talks (when not on camera) but even he would have to admit, when given all the stats after the last 5 years, that the offense isn't where it should be.

It came on for the defense and he got Chavis.

I mean,

I agree and I think he is the best coach for LSU.
