Coming off a weekend that brought to our TVs both "Staying Alive" and "The Matrix Revolutions," what are some other not needed sequels?

Obviously the answer isn't "Caddyshack 2" or "City Slickers 2: The Legend of Curly's Gold."

All those are just shitty sequels. Not really sequels that didn't need to happen.

Matrix needed a sequel. The sequel just happened to suck.

Sandlot 2
Spiderman 2 (I think some people liked this but I didn't.)

ETA: I understand the whole "follow the comics thing" but sometimes the first movie of the comic tells the story and that's all that's needed, IMO.

This was a great movie. It was one of the few times you could say the sequel was as good as the original.

I liked revolutions up until it shite its pants at the end with all the psychobabble. They really one-upped themselves with the new characters. And the chase on the freeway was one of the most ambitious action sequences there is.

-The Lost World : Jurassic Park
-Jurassic Park III

I watched the entire trilogy over the Christmas break because I have always enjoyed them. However upon researching the sequels, I realized that they sorely lacked the magic and wonder of the first one.

They don't look horrible, but the story is lacking. The first one was so amazing when you first see the dinosaurs and tense when you are wondering where the T-Rex is and will it show up. It made you wish to explore this new theme park. The sequels did nothing to enhance that need.

Also
-Teenage Mitant Ninja Turles III
Story was intriguing but the writing was bad. Also Hensen Studios didn't do the costumes so the turtles looked like cheap Halloween costumes.

-Terminator III
-Terminator 4

Had high hopes for both of these and they both flopped.

-Major League 3: Back to the Minors
More like back for a money grab

-Any Disney direct to DVD sequel

Is Hannibal a sequel to Silence of the Lambs? what about Red Dragon?

Did anybody see American Psycho II in the theater?
