The goodbye thread brought this question...
Of the players on the 2009 Roster which one will be the final one left on the Saints regular roster going forward?

If its not Brees/Colston/Moore it'll prob be someone like Strief

Won't matter because we're winning the SB after the 2013 season.

since said I'll go with mine, Morstead also. The Ambush Executioner. He's under contract to 2018 and will only be 32 then.

Seriously? If a lot of fans had their way Strief would be gone after this season

He was on fire.
I'm grateful he had one last great year left in the tank for us.
I think had he gotten one more, I think he would have broken a record. I can't remember which one it is.

I remember it got to the point of "where is sharper's interception this game?" every game

a bit off, 10 would get you tied for 28th
Like how the consecutive TD pass streak lasted for 50+ years the single season INT record has stood longer...
Night Train Lane, 14 picks in 1952! Since then only Lester Hayes for the Raiders in 1980 reached 13. Granted there were some pretty awful QBs then. But it was a way run-first league too and those records were in a 12 game season (25% smaller than today). A true legendary player. His play is what invented the phrase 'clothes lining". Grabbing the facemask as a penalty also came about cuz he discovered it as a very effective means of taking players down.
Check this video where he comes in as the #2 most feared tackler in NFL history.

Sharper was one pick six from tying the career record and I think he was close to total yards for INT returns in a season but that is hazy for me.

Non-special teams? I'll go out on a shaky limb and say Malcolm Jenkins.
