Yeah, they only made it to the sweet 16 but I found this team more entertaining to watch than the Final Four team.
The PMAC atmosphere for the 2000 Arizona game was second to none.

I remember watching those games with my dad. It was a very exciting team to watch.

Drove 15 hours with my dad to Albuquerque, New Mexico to watch that team get blasted by Wisconsin. I think I was bout 10 at the time. Great time and one of the many fond memories I have of LSU while growing up.

I remember that team like it was yesterday.

The 1981 team was my favorite. Durand "Rudy" Macklin, Greg "Cookieman" Cook, Ethan Martin, Howard Carter, Leonard Mitchell and Willie Sims.

That was 2002, it was right before Christmas. It was one of the best games I've ever been to in my life. We played at Zona in 2000

Wrong, they played Arizona at the PMAC both in 99-00 season and the 02-03 season.
The first time they beat them by like 20, the second time, they beat them by 1 after Torris Bright tipped away Zona's inbound pass as time expired.

I don't remember the 99-00 season, I know they played at Zona in 00-01 and then here in 02-03. I just must not remember it, I've been to pretty much every game since I was old enough to go with my dad. I remember going crazy after Torris Bright swatted the ball on the inbounds pass in 02, it was awesome.

Whatever happened to Jabari??
Posted on 12/23/12 at 9:54 pm to Broski
Ohhh yea, i do remember that one. Guess it just gets overshadowed a bit because of 02. 2000 was a good year, hopefully we can get back to that level and higher under CJJ

No love for Beshara?
His 3-pointers and underhanded alley-oops were clutch

The Jabari smith funk dunk I end the half against Arizona was one of the coolest things I have ever seen.
I slept on the ramp of the pmac in a rented tuxedo that night, and it was worth every minute.
