playing devil's advocate, how many single digit scoring quarters would Phil have with them?

Playing devils advocate, how much of a track record do we have for Phil Jackson where he didn't have at least one Top 10 All Time Great in his prime? Where are these points supposed to magically come from? This team is bad and on top of that it's focus is defense first and kill the shot clock second. That philosophy worked pretty well when he had West and CP3. There were times that season they looked like legit contenders and I still think they take out the Lakers in the first round with a healthy West. Monty has his flaws and needs better X and O assistants, but the guards and SFs being so terrible is the main problem for this team.

Chris Paul was pretty mediocre that season until the playoffs rolled around. He certainly didn't "carry" us.

Paul coasted a ton that year. Was year David west tallest him out

Paul played hurt all year and was still our best player. By far. He most certainly carried that team.
He registered the 6th best PER in the NBA that season

I got real tired of watching him pass and run straight to the corner of every 4th quarter. He disappeared after 3 all year.

Perspective on Paul on HT? A Christmas miracle.

You can look at numbers all you want and he definitely had his moments that season, but anyone who actually watched games when he got outplayed by the likes of Jose Calderon would know why he was hated when he finally bolted.

Heaven forbid a superstar gets outplayed by a good player.
Jarret Jack outplayed Kobe Bryant last night. Omg!! Kobe should retire!
You're going to bag on Paul, who played almost 80 games on a bad knee, yet you suck Gordon's dick ad nauseam. Makes sense

It wasn't one game. It was multiple times where he just had an "I don't give a shite" attitude about him. If he was playing through an injury and that's why he struggled then I can't be mad at him for that, but he seemed to magically heal when he was on national tv. If it looked like he gave his all the entire season then I wouldn't have any anger towards him, but it just didn't look like that to me and a lot of others on here.

You don't lead the league in steals and be the 6th most efficient player in the nba with a "I don't give a shite" attitude.
People pay more attention to nationally televised games and playoff games. They love to glorify them. I watch every game and I saw no change in Paul's play. But it was well known he wasn't 100% at any point in the year.

Who hates Chris Paul? He is the best player in franchise history and I don't know a fan that doesn't want him back. He didn't even bolt from the team, he was traded (for a load of crap).

Jester and fightingtigers12345 hate chris paul

That's fine then. I think I was more spiteful of him than anything because I knew he was bolting and I figured we'd get poor value like most trades for superstars that want out and I thought we'd be hopeless cellar dwellers for a while. My hate died down a lot and I'm happy for what he did for basketball in New Orleans. Watching Vasquez running the point makes me really appreciate what we had more, too.

You watched EVERY game and noticed no difference in Paul's play?
Like with your eyes?

That was my first year to have season tix. You're lying to say you didn't see a difference. You don't remember David west adjusting cp3 and his attitude?
