So GTS is one of the mythical bottles that's hard to come by...
Any other suggestions on what to look for?
Just off the top of my head what I've been through or still have in the last year or two:
Blantons
Bookers
Bakers
Buffalo Trace
Bulleit
Single Oak Project (2 different barrels)
Eagle Rare
Bowman Brothers
1792 Ridgemont Reserve
Jefferson's
Four Roses Single Barrel
Knob Creek (Regular, Rye, Single)
Elijah Craig 12 year
Woodford Reserve
Makers
Makers 46
Breckenridge
Angel's Envy
Black Saddle

True. I've seen it there a few times. Never picked any up though.
It's not bad, cheap enough to mix, decent enough to drink neat.
I would suggest letting it breath for a minute or two first though or else you'll get a nose full of that proof like Stagg Jr batch 1.
That being said, I plan on picking up a couple of bottles next month in Houston. I've been told that Spec's has tons of it.

That's a pretty good start. I would also suggest some WT products, such as Russels Reserve Single Barrel and WT Rare Breed. Both either at or under $50 and great pours.

I don't mind shelling out for a quality drink as a not everyday bourbon, but there have been far too many that I've paid two times the price of some other bottles and not been as impressed with.

Four Roses Small Batch, pretty much any of the EH Taylors, Old Forester Signature, and Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage.
If you want to try something really interesting, High West Campfire. It's a bourbon/rye/scotch blend.

Those were all the ones I personally bought, not drinks at the bar or a party.
Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit was the Christmas Bourbon of the year at the citica house between me my dad and BIL so I've had that one. I need to try the Russell Reserve

Unc, how you get your ice to be perfectly round like dat?
Been using a pairing knife on my ice cubes, but it's just not worth it anymore.
What's your secret?
