I am Craving High School Cafeteria Food Today

i long for that 6X4 inch french bread pizza with the random arse side of corn on the cob and that fruit cocktail/red jello hybrid thing for dessert. ah, those were the days.
by the time i got to my senior year they started slerving pizza hut and subway for lunch but i was always partial to the aforementioned pizza or the baked potato.

Son, you are one very young pup. The only thing that would entice me is most probably not even served theren nowadays as it would take too much time to make, fresh made yeast rolls. It was always a convinient coincidence that "greens" were served on the same days as cutting the grass.

I think half the schools in America used that same roll for lunch.
Only thing that still stands out in my mind was the nachos. Old plain arse ballpark cheese and chips, but the cheese was spicy and good.

On a cold day the vegetable soup was the shite. Back when I was in elementary in the late 80's and early 90's, students damn near came to throwing fist for those yeast rolls.

We had mac n cheese with our fishsticks. Mmmm.
Fave high school meal was fried chicken, rice dressing, strawberry shortcake. Did not leave campus for a root beer and curly fries on that day.

I'll take some cherry crumble and two chocolate milks please.
I remember occasionally we would get this milk and the slogan was "the more you shake it the thicker you make it". So the more you shook the carton the thicker the milk would be, it was kinda like a milkshake. Anyone else have those?

the smell of fishsticks and cafeteria mac and cheese makes my stomach turn
my elm school (no caf in hs) had the best hot dogs and these homemade buns, damn they were good.
