The CTR blows away the DD stock. DD has shitty controls, terrible cheek weld, and no friction lock.
If you don't want to have Magpul, then get a Rogers SuperStoc, which they put on the Wilson Combat Recon series. It's a CTR with a different name
CTR/Rogers are the ideal AR stock IMO
