First get your class three license then pick up a Glock 18 at your local sporting goods store. It's the family friendly pistol. You're welcome

I only shoot inside

I'm actually curious as well. My dads been on me to get a CC for the past 8 months or so since his gun craze kicked in. I've decided I'd like a gun for self defense and plan on getting my CC soon.

I was looking at Smith and Wesson, but everybody here is saying glock. May I ask why?

Blocks are reliable weapons. That being said i hate em because they are ergonomically terrible. They force an unnatural wrist angle and in turn are difficult to keep on target IMO

Most recreational shooters do a poor job of maintaining weapons and the Glock will work even when filthy. That does not mean that you should not clean it at least once per week but it will still run if you don't.

Didn't read anything. I've shot em and the grip angle is obviously different than all other pistols I have shot which is why I took the time to type IMO in my post. I don't like em, they don't feel right in my hand, I have to cock my wrist towards the ground to shoot on target when my 1911s, revolvers and wife's .380 are naturally on target when my wrist is in its natural position.
Or did you mean that Glocks are not reliable?

This. $8.99/50 for brass cased bullets for the range is much better than paying for .40 cal. Also, the stomping power of a 9mm HP and .40 HP are very similar.

I don't even know what you are talking about in relation to wrist angle. Your shooting hand wrist should be straight and there should be no angle when you fire.
