Who is the heir apparent at Duke once Coach K hangs it up?

He is 65 and won't be coaching forever. His coaching tree is big and I am guessing there are many ex-players/assistants itching to get the job when it opens up.
For UNC, it was inevitable that Roy Williams would eventually make it there in the post-Dean Smith era...who are the likely candidates for Duke?

Wojo is the one being molded as his replacement, I believe. But I think Brad Stevens would make a better long-term coach at Duke because he could hit the ground running with all of his head coaching experience and he's also a really young guy who could be there for a long time.

They're not molding anybody for his replacement, I seriously doubt they would hire anybody off his bench with no HC experience.
Donovan
Stevens
Dawkins
Brey
Smart
Still 4-5 years from K retiring though IMO. List can change a lot in that time, 5 years ago I would have put Dixon and Wright at the top.

I remember when I thought it would be Quin Snyder or Tommy Amaker.

Wojo for sure. Schools probably stopped offering him a few years ago. He has been at duke around 19 years including playing.

Dawkins is terrible
Wojo - I would be apprehensive without head coaching experience
Collins is terrible

They promoted him to Associate Head Coach in 2008, he's run practices before, and drawn up plays in games. He and Collins are front of the line as far as succeeding K.

They both have that position since every 2 years they have to run the program while K is with USA basketball for 2 months. They are not at the front of the line to succeed him unless they go have success as a HC somewhere.
