junction boys and friday night lights are two great ones that i forgot in my first post.
loose balls and heaven is a playground (brooklyn street scene) are really good too. the last shot is similar to heaven is a playground but follows some lincoln high kids (stephon marbury is a freshman and is in the book but it's not really about him) loose balls is about the history of the ABA and is pretty fricking sweet actually.
i really liked everybody's all american.
im pretty sure all of these books are in sports illustrated's top 100 sports books list. and that's because they are all fricking bad arse. literally any of the ones i named are extremely enjoyable.
