Recommendations for a quality food processor?

It's a gift for my wife. We've had a lower priced Cuisinart for years. It's okay but I'd like to step it up a bit.
Thanks in advance!

If you use the thing a lot and want to buy one and never think of it again, a Robo Coupe is the way to go.

we have the cuisinart with two size bowls (12 and 4 cup) and blades to match. It also has lots of other attachments for slicing, shredding and making bread. works really well and very versatile.

I have a Robo Coupe that I bought around 1984 and it still works perfectly!

Robotcoupe is the only way to go

It's also $800-$4000 vs a decent $150 Cuisinart

Have a Cuisinart 14 cupper that works great when I rarely use it. Pain in the arse to clean.

You can just throw it in the dishwasher, right?

That's completely understandable, but some people can't justify $800.
I don't use my food processor enough to justify it.
If I ever wore mine out from overuse I'd consider it.
To each his own

Everything except the motor housing can go in the dishwasher. Still, a pain in the arse. I'd rather only have to clean a knife or an immersion blender.

I agree. I use my microwave and large toaster oven more than any other small appliance. The more parts to wash, the less likely I will use it.
