Not sure how the hell you think Auburn fans are regretting firing Tubs. We won a national title with Chizik, no matter how much he sucked in the end it was worth having him for 4 years just for that.

Tubs needed to go at the time no matter what, he refused to get rid of any of his buddies on staff, and had given up on the recruiting trail. Nothing would have changed with him as coach as long as that remained the case. Not sure what Tubs 20-17 record in a pretty weak Big 12 has done to make anyone think Tubs has got back his magic either.

Gus may or may not be a great hire in the end, but I sure as hell don't regret us getting rid of Tubs for a second.

And Arky had no choice but to fire Petrino really, not really fair to compare them in this situation.

The Chargers were idiots to fire Marty, but it was time for Fulmer to go as well. The fact the Vols have been terrible at getting a decent replacement doesn't change that.

It isn't like we fired him because we thought he wasn't doing a good enough job on the field.

Why are Tulane grads usually the dumbest most out of touch motherfrickers in the room?

BS. No regrets. Rather lose than operate with Petrino.

Are you kidding? Petrino had to be fired. I appreciated what he did with the program but he further damaged his reputation, which wasn’t that good anyway, with his tryst with Jessica Dorrell. Petrino wasn’t the best recruiter to begin with and he will find it even harder getting into the homes to talk with recruits because of his actions. Petrino had to go and I couldn’t be happier with Bielema.
