But after the SEC champ whips ND's arse badly on national television. That will provide a little incentive for Kelly to consider the move.

Chip Kelly's next stop is the NFL. He's already been sniffing around for openings. We don't want that again. Remember the Saban years? Gary Patterson doesn't appear to want to leave TCU.

1. Waco. Art Briles can coach his arse off if he can win at Baylor, and he has links to Texas recruiting. He'll just need good money to hire (or keep) a good defensive staff.
2. College Station. Kevin Sumlin took over for Briles at Houston, and didn't skip a beat. Plus, look what he's done at A&M. I don't think he'd leave though.
3. Boise. Chris Peterson has certainly maintained success there at Boise State.

I don't think Brian Kelly would leave ND. It pretty much will recruit itself now they are a national power again.

I agree. He's a proven winner though.

Maybe so, but I don't see how you could NOT call him.

Saban would not laugh at a phone call from LSU.

You ever got a call from your momma and laughed?

Why would he leave? He's winning NC after NC there, getting top recruits, as well as the media hype and poll advantages. That's not even mentioning the $$$ the Gumps would counter with to keep him. He's not coming back to LSU, ever.

Maybe so, but still doesn't mean LSU shouldn't call him.

Why, so he'd leave LSU again? He left LSU once for the NFL, then would be leaving Bama for LSU. What's to stop him from leaving again once someone ups the ante?

Nah, Kelly's a competitive guy. If we offer more money and better athletes I bet he'd take the opportunity to come down and actually win a NC.

I am seriously impressed at how Kelly has turned ND's program around, though. His teams are very good defensively, and judging from his days at Cincy, he'll throw the ball around if he's got a for real QB.
