Both guys are earning a living. Of course they are doing it for money. If you thought you could force your boss to double your salary wouldn't you? Many of us have immature cultish notions about LSU football and think that the coach should share them - that his coaching should be more crusade than career.

I would say the serial killer guy who is now at Angola will have a slight lead.

I completely agree. If one job is paying more you take it. I never said I agreed with the notion that Saban is money whore, just that if you're calling Nicky that, it should apply just as much to Les IF he takes/had taken the Arkansas job.

You people

When you made as much money as miles has at LSU, it's not about money anymore
This could end up somewhat likee albert pujols in st. louis. Man was loved in stl ans was a winner. He had all the money he could want, but left a place where he could be a legend for the "respect" of being top paid player.
Hope that the respect angle is not the case here

this is the only reason I could see him leaving
10 win season and lots of angst around over the two losses

Other than that, Im starting to sense a double standard on the money issue. We call Nick a money hungry whore, what does that make Les if he bolts?
Saban's salary increased 3 out of 5 years at LSU. Miles' has not received a raise in 5 years - he negotiated an extension and more money for his assistants, but no more money for him.
If you can't see the difference in the way the coaches have been treated, brother you crazy.

There would have been a damn lot more done with Ole ball coach.
Which time?

If Miles were to make a direct jump to Fayetteville it would be strictly for money and a smack in the face.
Maybe he wants to get his family out of the crime-infested borrough that is known as Baton Rouge and perhaps he feels he's underappreciated here. Hell, we have "fans" bitching over a 10-2 season.

I really like Les, and hope this is all BS. If he would leave us for for more money and go to a division rival, I guess my opinion of him would change a little.
Good news is, we know exactly how to play against them, there would be no surprises. Arky doesn't have the personnel to run his offense and no where near the ability to run his (Chavis's) defense.

Throw in Maxium for the trifecta. These guys' routine is getting really, really old.

Please refresh our memories. Is it the same way most coaches leave their present job?

Saban strings everybody along; that is his MO. He's probably being reached out to right now by Jerry Jones for the Dallas Cowboys. Maybe Jones will get Miles and Saban in one fell swoop.
Miles has been pretty forthright thus far so we'll see how he answers this one.

I'll always respect how CLM handled the Katrina year . But do y'all think Arky will put up with the Ground and Pound after all the passing in the past years .
