You got it... Houston Dale Nutt. Kentucky is being turned down left and right. Nutty has had success in the SEC (although not recently) and he knows the conference. Look for the up and comers to keep turning UK down, then the Cats turn to an old retread. You heard it here first...Houston will be headed to the commonwealth when all the dust settles.

Seems like he would be a total pain in the arse for the East teams. Would never actually build anything of consequence but would jump up and ruin someone's season every once in a while.

I'm semi trolling with this thread but I do kind of believe it. I really won't be shocked if that's who they go with.

I mean...you can do better than Houston Nutt (maybe not at Kentucky) but you can also do worse than Houston Nutt. Like I said, he's an experienced coach and knows the SEC damn well. If they keep getting turned down by the hot name coaches, HDN might an alright pick for them.

i actually think they will end up hiring petrino when it's all said and done.

i know they don't want to . they might not have a choice. and he's better than option C or D. A D choice has about as much blow up potential as petrino does without the upside

We'd go Fulmer before someone like Nutt.

I didn't think of Fat Phil. He could be a fit for the same reasons as Nutt.

Havent been following the Kentucky search very closely . besides Butch Jones , who else has turned them down ? TIa. Nevermind, just saw the post further down the page. That's just a Wow, Thought fairly sure tht Mark Stoops would go for it. Sorry Kentucky fans, just looks like your AD is not willing to put football on par with your basketball team.

Its funny now, but Saban actually recommended Nutt for the LSU job when he bolted for the NFL.

If KY is really thinking about hiring Nutt, they should just light a pile of money on fire and hit themselves in the nuts with a hammer repeatedly, because that is what having that shitbird as your coach is like.

Not true.

The key though is 2 year contract then move on. Year 3 is when it falls apart for him

OP is obviously trolling, Nutt is not a candidate at UK or any other SEC school
