You gotta chilax. Let the fight come to you, don't camp, but don't run around like an addy'd up crazy man.

I am bumming about this. I try to get into the mix at B flag and it never works out. My screaming and begging people to kill my shooter has increased dramatically.

My problem is I can't compete with the SMG players and I am awful using them.

I am just thankful you can't give people nukes in BLOPS2

Play tdm. Your kd won't get better running after objectives that 4 people camp around the entire game hard scoping the area you are running towards
Ctf and FFA will help too.
Demo and Dom on blops 2 are just inviting you to lower your kd

I wish this tall tale would die a peaceful death.

It's not a tall tale. It really happened and I was witness to it.

Stick to the outsides of the maps. You won't see as much action but k/d will go up

At least we've figured out that its your connection and not you. I remember playing BF3 with you and you weren't too bad. Honestly if you have a hotspot option on your phone it may get a better connection

Dedicated servers. I'm good at Battlefield.

Ok, maybe it did happen. I said maybe.

1)wired vs wireless connection
2)what tv are you playing on? If you are playing on a flat screen with a bad refresh rate it's almost impossible to be successful. It's really night and day when you compare a TV that is made for gaming and one that isn't. I have had friends genuinely not know that they were playing on a tv that isn't right for gaming and be blown away when they play on a good one.
3)Much easier to get a better k/d ratio in TDM versus domi.
4)Camp areas of the map. I'm not saying sit in a room like a little dingdong and hardscope the door but holding down a certain area with a lot of foot traffic is key. Once you become really familiar with a certain area and understand where all the entry points are, that is when you can do some damage. You have to be able to understand where you are located on the map and where the enemy can attack you from. Once you kill someone, 9 out of 10 times they will come back for you so you just have to realize where they will be coming from. It really all comes down to being familiar with the map. If you just run around out in the open like an idiot over and over your k/d is going to suck.

You've basically got to be obsessive to have a positive kd ratio. R remember my first time playing halo w my friends online, I sucked I played a couple marathons and were better than them (aside from tigerdik, me and him owned shite @ an equal level).
Point is, nobody just walks in owning. Learn the maps. Learn the weapons. Practice. You might be a good gamer but there's a huge advantage of knowing maps and what works in different games.
Era: then the switch from halo to cod it sucks going from boss status to noob but same concept. You eventually figure out what works. You have to find the difference between mastering something until it works (or doesn't) and moving onto something else that works.

This 100%. Last night the reason why I started doing well was because I'm starting to learn the maps and the routes that enemies take.

I have the same problem with my shite DSL connection. It makes me want to smash my entire gaming setup with a sledge hammer.
My house is 1200' off the road so I'm f'd as far as getting a better connection.
