What did y'all think about his performance today?
I think he did decent. Had some nifty moves to get the ball out of tight spaces but also lost the ball a few times. It would have been nice to see him use his speed a bit more but the opportunities didn't really come.
Not sure if he warrants inclusion for WCQ matches or if he would be better suited to the Gold Cup squad.

i thought he played well. but i thought he was nervous, looked to be pushing to hard
problem at least for 2014 is roster space. he's listed as a forward, but theres only so many forward spots to go around. i assume he's someone to count on in 2018

He at least needs to be in the gold cup squad

He's extremely fast and quick, but he's slight. I can certainly see why he chose going to Switzerland and then Norway instead of MLS. He's may not be physical enough for the International game...yet.
You can't teach that kind of speed, though.

All I was thinking in the last half of the match was how much more effective he would've been as a sub

With a strong midfield, he will be a dangerous player for us.

You just made me miss Holden even more

Thought he was nervous early but performed well later. I also thought that even though he's small, he played with some strength and toughness.

I was too. Although I kind of think this way with most pure speed guys on our roster (and rosters past), ie Robbie Findley, Shea, etc.

he looked ok. pretty stiff competition to be thrown into, but he handled it well it seemed. bothered me when he froze just inside in the box and lost possession. not sure we'll really need him this year or next unless he starts blowing up though.

I only saw the first half but I thought he was ok. He was involved in the game at least. I thought his runs off the ball were better than what he did with the ball (didn't really take on and beat anyone).
He was pretty decent though. I mean, in a few of Brek's first appearances he was utterly invisible, and Gatt at least was in the game.

Shea is worthless as a starter IMO.

He's fast and looked reasonably skilled, but he's useless as long as Jurgen refuses to play with anyone on the touchline.
He seemed like a faster Ale Bedoya... another player deemed useless by Jurgen's nine DM system.
Let's hope he can continue to develop.

What?? Seems stout to me.
I was disappointed b/c he didn't have any 50 yard runs with the ball to score a goal.
Seriously, for his first cap I thought he did fine. I wish he had played with the U23s to get more international experience. Unless we really gel with Zusi and Klejstan playing wide next year, seems like he is a viable option for that role.

Good Christ man, it's not the EPL. It's the MLS.
I know it's progressed a lot since then, but Freddy Adu scored as a middle schooler and Beckham still contributes.
And he didn't look physically overpowered at all anyway.

he was the definition of average. which his fine for his first action. then again if his fricking outside of the boot flick over the top works, then i would be too busy sucking his dick to make this post.

At the Moscow airport?

Beckham obviously has slowed down a ton, but he still has skills and natural ability that very few players have. It is not surprising to see him succeed in the MLS and he could contribute in every league at this point.

I liked what I saw, but I didn't understand why Jurgy switched him from right to left. He did that just as Gatt seemed to be coming into the game.

I think he was tryin to involve Gomez, who was anonymous for a bit
