Worming your dogs

How many here do it themselves?
My wife always brought our two dogs to the vet, until I found out how expensive it was.
$30/dog once per year for the shot, then $200 every 6 months for the pills (they do keep fleas off too).
Gotta be something I can get cheaper at the feed store, right?

Does That replace the annual shot and monthly pill? Do i need to inject them or squirt it in their mouth? How often?

1/10th cc per 10lbs of body weight.
I put it into their mouths with a syringe once a month.

.5cc for every 50lbs. squirted down the dogs throat. I mix it with something because my dogs have let me know it taste like shite.

Any recommendations for flea medicine?

Google Happy Jack Duraspot and order the appropriate dose for each dog. I have never had any issues using this stuff. If you keep them off your dogs and keep other mutts away the fleas living around there will leave for greener pastures.

Just know that alot of the heart worm pills your vet gives you have GI dewormers in them as well(the plus in heartguard plus) and if you go to ivermectin your dog wont be gettin these anymore. I was told go get a basic GI dewormer as well and by the time I bought both, it was almost as cheap to buy the generic heartgaurd plus. Prob was now I had to give my stubborn arse dogs two things a month.

This is true but you can buy 6 in 1 wormer online to cut cost drastically. The vet is making bank off of all the different parasite meds.

Thanks to all. $20/dog per month for Trifexis, plus annual visits were pretty steep. Damn near $600/year for dogs I dont particularly like.
