zero interest in the Cotton Bowl
Sure I would watch LSU play
but it would also cause me to boycott all of the other "big" bowls
tired of this political bullshite crap.

In 1969 the Cotton Bowl invited LSU. After the invitation, Notre Dame decided they would change their policy of not playing in bowls and would accept a bowl bid.
The Cotton Bowl recinded their invitation to LSU and took Notre Dame. LSU, which had maybe the best team ever, did not go to a bowl because there were no other openings. All the other bowls were filled.
Since then my two favorite teams have been LSU and whoever is playing Notre Dame.
But I also have been p**sed at the Cotton Bowl. I damn sure are not going.

D- of all the states to give my money, Texas is not one I chose to do unless I can avoid it
The SEC and college football offers some great road trips for things other than a city with no college football cutlure and a stadium. I'd rather spend my money on Athens and Tuscaloosa next year.

My house in Ft Worth in 15-20 minutes away from the stadium. Of course both games!

Close, but not quite. LSU never got the invite to the Cotton. It was widely runmored to be LSU, but at the last minute went to ND.
Also, LSU didn't go to any other bowls because the players voted not to go bowling if they couldn't get a chance at Texas and the national championship.
But yeah, Notre Dame ruined what could've been MNC #2 for LSU, I've hated them since as well.
