I feel like The Who rarely gets much love on this board, so let's love them. Together.
The Who - The Seeker
is probably up there for me.
The Who - Squeeze Box
is underrated, IMO.
What do y'all got?

I love this one. Especially after that Freaks and Geeks episode

IMHO their best work was done in the '60s:
I Can See For Miles
I'm A Boy
Pictures of Lily
Happy Jack -- rare live clip with some maniacal drumming by Keith Moon

For today I'll go with:
A Quick One While He's Away
and
The Real Me
A lot of potential picks off of Live at Leeds and Quadrophenia. Moon and Entwistle were at their peak and the band was really rockin.

the follow up to that 1965 revolutionary theme came on the '71 'Who's Next' (their best IMO). The song appropriately titled 'Won't Get Fooled Again' expressed the changing sentiment specifically of that time-
Change it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fall that's all
But the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they all flown in the last war
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
And I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
---------------------
Quite a catalog to try and pick one song from. Dunno if favorite but I'll add two live ones. Even with rock operas The Who were always a much more impressive live show than studio group. Check these out if ya don't know them:
Young Man's Blues video from isle of Wight, find it on Live at Leeds 1970
Water same show
Again, if ya only know the remaining Daltrey/Townsend worn out and old Who check the old stuff. Drummer Moon and bassist Entwhistle were true rock HOF musicians.
Complete IOW show 1970 600,000 there and the show starts at 2am

Did the CSI franchises ruin any of the songs for anyone?
Posted on 11/14/12 at 10:08 am to LSUTygerFan
No. But I don't watch CSI.
