ok im an idiot i guess. i thought primitive weapons were muzzleloaders?

what qualifies as a 'primitive'? I have a lever action 35 rem...is that acceptable?

NO....has to be a single shot with a exposed hammer.

It's ok. Some cartridge rifles while not realy primitive are allowed in LA and MS.

Single shot rifle with an action that was designed before 1900 of caliber .35 or larger IIRC
