You would think, but the truth is that no guard is ever a "lock" for the HOF. For whatever reason, it's the least valued non-special teams position in Canton.
It's crazy how average even the best LSU players have been in the pros. I love Kevin Faulk, but people listing him in this thread must be sniffing glue. Nice career, but he's soooo far away from that level. Light years.
