My little girl is about the same age. She'd be touching everything and putting her hands in her mouth.

So...how much $$$ is 8000lbs of shrimp worth off the boat.

They are probably getting around $1.50-$1.75/lb for 16/20's if I had to guess. Prices are not that great and haven't been for a long time.

Mike at Reggio cought a lil over 25,000 pounds in 24 hours with just 1 wingnet off the dock. And yes, I did pick up some from him. Paid him $1.75 a lb. Was more of a mix of 40-10 count.

Yeah,I saw that net right there at the bridge at Reggio canal.
Smelled like a fricking pogie plant the day after around there.

He had to shut down due to the plants couldn't buy anymore shrimp. My brother was down helping him. He told me that the net would fill up every 10 mins, dumping well over 100 lbs each time. Unreal! I used to do shrimping myself and never saw those numbers.
They still had some shrimp running thru last week. Due to the storm, that is why there were so many. The storm washed all kinds of grass out the ponds which the shrimp was feeding on and growing fast.
