Green where are you getting this info Mingo just got a proscout eval. as #1 overall in the NFL draft go read bleacher report 2 weeks ago. In all recent mock 2013 drafts Mingo and Montgomery are in the top 10!

Mingo would never grade out low he runs a 4:5 at DE the NFL is chomping at the bit for both players go look it up. Most have Mont. at the #1DE and Mingo #2DE .
Why would they come back? They cannot go any higher in the draft.

Are Mingo and Montgomery that good? They rarely get to the qb other than coverage sacks. Mingo is too light for DE and Montgomery is the last off the snap every play. I think they're good players but I actually think Edwards has caused more problems for offensive lineman than mingo or montgomery. Not trying to be negative just stating what I see each week.

There is no way Simon is leaving, I still think Reid is a question mark. He hasn't played well this year compared to last year. I think mingo would benefit staying an extra year to bulk up.

Mingo looks small as a DE in college, he isn't playing there in the NFL any time soon. And he won't go THAT high as a 3-4 OLB.

Yea Kiper dropped both out of his top 10 because of production. Sam is mid to late 1st round right now by most experts. Mingo is anywhere from 10-25 in the first, but his stock is falling. I think someone might take Mingo in the first round based on upside, but it's a huge risk in my opinion. In his high school video he is the most unnatural linebacker I ever seen. He seems to react slowly and awkwardly most of the time in the video I have seen. He could be great but more likely his roll in the NFL will be a lot like Martez Wilson for the Saints.

Mingo will play as a 3-4 OLB in the NFL. Regardless of where his stock is now, he'll have the most impressive combine of any defensive player and be a top prospect by draft time. I'd be surprised if he made it out of the top 10 of the first round.

He doesn't have Demarcus Ware-like numbers but consider that he's playing in the SEC whereas Ware played at Troy.

They are both top 10 picks

If you check the message boards of other teams they are saying the same thing about several of their players. Fact...not all are going in first round or even the second. Personally it would not surprise me if Montgomery comes back.

Yea but linebacker is a completely different animal. If you don't have instincts all the speed in the world won't help. I think Martez Wilson is a perfect comparison to Mingo though Wilson has lb/de build while Mingo is built like a wide receiver still. Wilson left after his Junior year. He put up very respectable stats playing linebacker in college. He had 112 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, three forced fumbles, four quarterback hurries, four pass breakups, an interception, a fumble recovery and a blocked kick his last year in college.
At the combine he was 6'4 250 and he ran 4.43 4.47 unofficially and 4.49 officially. Even with that he did not get picked until the 3rd round because he lacks what it takes to play linebacker in the NFL. Saints moved him to pass rush specialist DE this year because he couldn't cut it at linebacker in the NFL. This is also someone who had good production at the position in college.

he has Kyle Kipps numbers. He doesn't get sacks against the rent a wins either. He is the most overrated lsu player in a while.

Wouldn't it take an act of God for Tim Williams not to stay in BR? He's one of the better pass rushers in this class

Tinsley the pro Scouts and pro projections have them going in the top ten of the draft. The pro scouts rank Montgomery the top DE in the draft and Mingo #2 go research it their stock has not fallen the've had a graet season. Both will be first team all americans. We are #1against the rush in the nation.

Mingo is 6-4 and runs a true 4:5 read what the scouts are saying. One scout predicted Mingo would be first overall!!!

Imagine at the combine a 6-4 DE running a sub 4:5!

Mingo ran the 200? hurdles in HS
