What % of deer meat in deer sausage?

I want to get some deer sausage made and I am looking for recommendations on the % of deer meat to use. I have heard 50-50, 40 deer-60 pork and 40 pork and 60 deer. What do you guys prefer?

The more deer you put in, the drier it'll be. Just depends on your preference

I like 50/50.

I use 2 to 1 pork to deer. It doesn't dry out. You can back off the pork if you use trimmings which are more fat.

A mosquito stung me in the arse. Gonna be hard to sit still this evening!
Everybody has their preference and who am I to say what's right? But my preference is 2-1 when using butts. We make it for people with higher deer ratios and they love it so it's all bout what you like. Just know that it will dry out on a grill with high deer ratios. If using more deer I also like to add more seasoning since you don't gett the flavor from the fat. Let us know how it turns out, I always like to hear new ways of doing things!

If you put 50% or more of pork, how can you still call it deer sausage when there is equal amounts or more pork in it?
