Yea very disappointing.

They should have do it like "30 days of night'. Just have humans with fricking makeup. Hell, I Am Legend was very good BEFORE the zombies showed up imo.

Been avoiding the trailer all day as I was a huge fan of the book. Holy crap. Will NOT be seeing that garbage.

The zombie beanstalk near the end of the trailer kills it for me.

Edit: Somebody might've mentioned this earlier, but it would turn out much better as a miniseries imo. Each episode could mirror each chapter in the book (the Chinese doctor, Holy Russian Empire, soldier that was at Yonkers and helped eventually take back the USA, Chinese sub thing, etc).

If they're just infected - then run your hearts out, but it's simply dumb for undead zombies to look as fast as Jesse Owens. It defeats the purpose and idea of an undead zombie.

The movie looks to be made for stupid people.

I'm pretty sure they're not just infected, there's a scene in the trailer where it shows a countdown clock showing how many (billions) of people around the world are dead.

Doesn't look like an adaptation. Looks like a pile of crap and they bought naming rights so people would go see it.

Hard to make a movie out of this book. Should have been a mini-series

people keep saying this, but I don't think so

make it a faux doc kinda like District 9. Have the narrator interviewing people at the end of the war, with flashbacks to their stories. Obviously they would have to cut a few of the stories, but it could have worked.

that trailer looked like absolute dog shite

CGI Zombies and zombies that can run?! does not look promising.

Now I really wish Leo Dicaprio's conpany would've outbid Brad Pitt for the movie rights.
He wouldn't have butchered what has the potential to be a masterpiece trilogy.

Yeah I think so. That's what I was saying in the other thread about trying to just enjoy it as a zombie movie and try to block out that its supposed to be this awesome book I read.

Don't know if I'll be able to do that. Guess we'll see.

Example. The Davinci Code, never read the book, i enjoyed the movie. Angels and Demons, i read the book, i thought the movie was horrible.

That CGI was just distracting. Took away from the trailer's intensity. That can't be good for the movie.

Good news is that I will not have my expectations very high.
