Brees played in Purdue's spread offense....

Alex Smith played in Utah's spread offense. It took him some time and getting in the right situation at SF to start to blossom.

I'm not saying Gabbert can be a probowler, but I'm also hesitant to write the guy off after 1.5 years.

tough to succeed in the NFL when you shite your pants anytime you get a little bit of pressure on you though
