If A&M beats Bama at Bama, don't you think he will jump back on with A&M?
I definitely want A&M to give bammers hell.

You would think so, but take a look at our WRs in the league compared to A&M's
I didn't say that being at LSU negates your NFL chances merely that LSU is a more run heavy team and your production is bound to be low.
While NFL day measurables are good and nice, it is always nice to have a multi-year progression of plays to showcase your talent.
It is a simple case of averages. If the team has 3 WRs and passes 30 times - you get 10 each.
But if you have a team that tends to throw 55 times then it almost doubles to 20.
So by the time you are a senior you have progressed as well developed a knowledge of the scheme and all this only adds to a player's draft rankings.

The last legit big bodied WR to play at LSU was Randle who last year was a top 3 receiver statistically in the SEC with two crappy quarterbacks. If RSJ is that type of player he can get numbers here comparable to what he could in an offense like A&M.

I know. I was just pointing out that it evidently means very little to NFL scouts. If you have the talent, NFL scouts will find you. For A&M to have such great offensive production over the past 6 years, but not have one single WR drafted is shocking to me. At the same time, LSU has had very poor WR production (due to poor qb play and run-first offensive scheme) and we have had 6 WRs picked in the draft.

Players that make their choice on where they want to play based on individual games are idiots IMO.

I agree with the guys posting about some kids being more interested in production than titles and that's why I posed the question. He can be productive at LSU but never will he have the same production opportunities here that he would at TAM. Comes down to offensive identity and TAM's offense is much more wide open and receiver friendly. That said, he can get drafted just as high, if not higher at LSU as at TAM because of the LSU brand to NFL people. For that reason I don't see production necessarily being a major key for NFL status. He'll have that at LSU just by being on the team. If it were me, the decision would be based on which of the 2 schools best helps me win, develop and get noticed by NFL personnel people. Imo that is LSU by a landslide. Our profile alone would get him noticed by NFL people, we're gonna contend for titles and we have a track record of developing kids that want to be developed and work hard at their craft. TAM has a flashy offense. Seems kind of onesided in our favor to me. I may be a little biased but at some point the reality of the situation has to be visible and reality says LSU is the better choice. That doesn't always win out.

Are we still i the mix for Marquez North out of North Carolina? He was a big WR that I know we had contacts with early on but everything around him seems quiet. If RSJ doesnt wor out he would seem a very viable option with a ton of upside. That and I kinda like the idea of having a trifecta of studs out of North Carolina

He'll probably end up at a&m because his dad likes a&m and is quite fond of Sumlin. A&M being much closer is also a factor as anyone would guess. Their performance against bama this weekend could either help or hurt the perception of that program in terms of their ability to win big in this league moving forward, but I don't think it will be the deciding factor on where he ends up. LSU coaches have their work cut out for them, but we'll certainly be in it till the end after last week's visit.

rsj may only have one year to play with mett, but if he has a good season it should help pull in highly ranked qbs who want the best receivers to throw to. one feeds off the other, ya know.

You seem to be grasping at straws. You do know that LSU has Q. Leslie coming in the spring?

A&M having a black coach is dominating inner Houston as well as RJS
Sumlin will end up with a top 3 class

Honestly I think race does not play a part in his ability to coach/recruit or the success they are having now. I think it has more to do with atm being the only school in Texas in the sec.

Agree. They will begin to take many recruits that were almost guarantees to UT because they are in the sec.
