For What It's Worth - Buffalo Springfield
Sam Stone - John Prine
Worth His Weight in Gold - Steel Pulse
Since we're up to our elbows in political shite, what does the board think?

While right wing country songs and left wing rock songs are pretty common, I know of few right wing rock songs. Two of my favorites are these folk-rockers from the mid '60s:
The Spokesmen - "Dawn of Correction" Answer song to -- or if you prefer, ripoff of -- Barry McGuire's #1 hit "Eve Of Destruction", this made the top 40 in the summer of 1965
Such nice, clean-cut boys. Not at all like those longhaired agitators:
--------
The Charades - "Hammers And Sickles (Make Very Poor Toys)"

Too bad I can't post any Johnny Rebel records (merely to laugh at as archaic relics, of course)
When I was a kid I was exploring a relative's house and found a 45 of the infamous "NAACP Flight 105", which had been released perhaps 15 years before. This record never got any airplay but is still rumored to have sold 250,000 copies through word of mouth.

Nobody wrote political songs like Bob Dylan:
A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall
Blowin' in the Wind
The Times They Are A-Changin
Masters of War
