He is a championship QB. He had a flawless game on 1/9, and made championship plays on 11/3.

Saban and Miles have terribly different styles, personalities and philosophies, but Saban's only true advantage has been his ability in the last several years to recruit/retain composed, championship level QB's.

Mett might get there, but Saban's QB have already arrived.

It is as simple as that folks. Switch QB's and the results of the last two meeting change.

McCarron is a GREAT college QB, and will probably be a solid Pro also.

It's all about McCarron...Let's pray he goes Pro after this year.

Mett outplayed AJ by a long shot. You don't have a clue.

Mccarron was average all year last year but benefitted from an easy schedule and a great defense. He lost the only game that mattered last year and was mediocre doing it. He got an undeserved rematch ad that's when he did good.

He's played we'll against another weak schedule but once again sucked it up against the only team on their schedule.

We gave him that last TD

Mett>AJ on Saturday

Mett> AJ when it's all done

Thanks for that insight, Mr. McCarron.

My 40-year old brother-in-law could have made those "championship" throws that A.J. made on that last drive as soft as LSU's "D" was playing.

McCarron is a great college QB. He underperformed all night but came through when he had to to win the game.

It would be a shame not to aware him the Heisman if he wins out.

The good news is that once he is gone, LSU will have the upper hand in a big way next year. Mett is going to be a great one.

He threw a screen pass and he is a great QB now?

Can you at least acknowledge the quite large and semi-talented guys blocking in front of him?

Before the last drive, he was 1 for 9 in the 2nd half for zero yards.

Wow I couldn't have expected much more from a poster with a name like this.

You're brain dead and obviously were watching a different game. Mett threw for 300 yards and completed 70% of his passes, if that isn't an elite performance for a qb in a run first offense I don't know when any qb will "arrive" for coach miles

I'm not saying McCarron isn't a good QB but Mett outplayed McCarron.

It's all about offensive identity and discipline. LSU's inconsistency on offense is getting old. I understand they moved the ball well against the bama defense, but missed opportunities due to bad penalties and plays cause a lack in confidence and results in losing close games against good opponents.

Really? AJ has played like crap in two of our three games against him. On nov.5th he was less than 50% passing and a crucial int that let LSU tie the game. He isn't great but he rarely makes a mistake.

Until the last drive in prevent a.j. did nothing in the second half. And his receivers did,nt drop half the passes he threw on the money like metts did! What game were you watching?

Because Saban is known as a great QB coach, I'm sure.

Wait. What? That kid is nowhere close to a great college QB. He has been the beneficiary of great tailbacks and even greater defenses that can wipe away any offensive mistake.

WTF DUDE. McCarron was a game manger his first season last year.. the entire season up until the bowl game.

Mett in his first starting season just out played him by a zillion in AJ's "great caliber play season"
