Forgot about Northside and Comeaux. I thought Acadiana was outside Lafayette like Carencro.

Lafayette
Comeaux
Northside are in the city limits
Acadiana
Carencro are not
Lafayette needs a new public school in the Broussard area but land is expensive, they don't have the money to take care of the facilities they have now and building in Broussard or youngsville would cause rezoning in the other schools that would dramatically change the enrollment demographics at Lafayette and Comeaux

How are they so cash strapped? It's not like it's a poor area. I know they've been having issues with the older buildings at the elem and jr high level, is that what's sucking them dry?

4A in ACADIANA gets weird
Add Eunice, Crowley, Rayne
15 teams in 4A from Lafayette to lake Charles
Three five team districts?
Lagrange, Wash-Marion, deridder, St. Louis, Eunice
Opelousas, beau chene, Rayne, Crowley, Cecilia
STM, Northside, Breaux Bridge, St Martinville, Teurlings
***ETA add westgate to 4a too, probably back to 5-4a with STM TC BB SM NHS

Oh really? I wonder what that'll do to 7-2a?
Dunham, Episcopal, East Feliciana, Istrouma, Northeast, and Capitol?

I don't pay much attention to prep anymore. I know that they had stopped allowing schools to play up a long time ago, when did they start alowing it again, and what are the rules for playing up now?

You can play up one classification.

Why did they split EBR 5A into 2 districts and put half of them with Livingston and the other half with Ascension?
Wouldn't it make more sense to have an EBR district and an Ascension/Livingston district?

i'm gonna assume that the only NOLA area 4A schools playing up are St. Aug, Shaw, and Holy Cross
Salmen's 4A district is down to 4 schools after Hammond goes up to 5A
the NOLA 4A district might be McDonogh #35, O.P. Walker, Warren Easton, Belle Chasse and Karr. maybe add Salmen, Lakeshore, and Pearl River (and Franklinton goes to BR)
the other one could be Riverdale, East Jefferson, Helen Cox, Lutcher, Vandebilt, South Terrebonne, and Ellender
Local 5A won't change much. Hammond goes back to their old spot in the Northshore district and removes the possibility of Chalmette going there.
I'd want to see the Bayou district of South and Central Lafourche, Terrebonne, H.L. Bourgeois, and Thibodaux stay together. New Iberia leaves them to go back to a Lafayette fistrict. The Catholic League, everyone knows, JP Public schools, everyone knows.
the questions are Destrehan, Hahnville, East St. John, and Chalmette. D, H, and E are a group, and will go with either the JP schools or the Bayou. If they go with the JP schools, Chalmette and Holy Cross will be a district game for the first time in 25 years. If they go to the Bayou, Chalmette might play musical districts again and go to JP (or not)
EDIT- who even knows how districts will be made this time? Geography is followed pretty close, but in this scenario Chalmette would effectively be picking their district (and there are arguments for both the Catholic and JP league IMO). i don't know if it's fair.

East Fel would run that district since uhigh is going up.

Clinton didn't really own it whenever they were there for years. I don't think they'll dominate it, especially without Beckwith at QB.

I would like to see UHS in 3a as long as Curtis isn't "playing up" to 3a. If UHS moves to 3a I would expect them to be able to add to current enrollment of the school. Maybe we can finally have room for an athlete or 2.

I wonder if uhigh is gonna admit more athletics now than Others that's been on the waiting list for years?
