True, For me, once it was confirmed that everybody turns, it just seemed to take away all hope for me. Yeah the possibility of a cure exists, but with virtually 0 modern medicinal facilities (that we know of anyway) I think the chance of finding a cure is slim to none, since I doubt the Gubna's nutty professor will actually do anything productive. However, I've been wrong before so.

There might be dead ends in subsequent seasons in quests for a cure but you have to figure the series will end with either the last man standing dying, a cure or some fake-out where a cure is perceived but hints of fail emerge. The me the immediate question is how long will it take for the existing zombies to starve to death? Once they are stable at the prison there should be regular hunting parties to kill as many zombies as possible each day in the surrounding area.

That's the point though. Conditions out there are so brutal.

And the fact that when the humans die they make zombies, no matter how many zombies you kill, they'll be more and more.

EXCEPT in episode 3 you see that scientist say that zombies get weaker over time w/o any food. That means zombies in remote areas are dying.
