What is the story on this cat? Everyone is so quiet about him quitting the team basically. Someone knows the scoop.

Potential 2nd round pick and he just throws it away. We are down Faulk, Blue, Mathieu, Wiliford, and Hurst. Pretty amazng that we are still in the hunt.

You nailed it. He basically quit the team. What else is there to say? There's been some speculation about his reasoning. Some say he refused to play Left Guard. Other's say his GF is pregnant. Others say a death in the family. Bottom line is he quit this team.

No, if it was for a death then my prayers go out to him.
However, if he walked away because he didn't want to play a certain position, or threw a hissy fit because the media was ripping the OL, then it's a bitch move.

it had nothing to do with him being asked to play LT...nobody here really knows what it was but it was clearly a very personal issue

His parents are getting divorced and he had personal issues with it.

If his heart isn't in it, he did the right thing, rather than half arse it. No one here should call it a bitch move. For all we know, it may have been better for the team that he walk away, rather than get punked on the OL because his head is elsewhere.

FWIW, I've heard that the players are pissed at him, and as his peers, they should know the real reason why. If there was a valid reason to show compassion, I'm sure that they would be all over that & supporting him as a teammate. That they are pissed says a lot.
