I have both and the green egg is way better but also way more expensive.

I recently bought the BGE and I like it. But I liked my Weber before also. I've only cooked on it 4 or 5 times and I'm learning, but I can see the advantages already.
One of the advantages is supposed to be the consistent temperature the BGE keeps. But if you don't have the vents just right or you are looking too often it can get too hot.

I bought a few accessories and walked out the store $1500 later.

Take a look at Grill Dome as well.

I have a Kamado Joe in Black. Had it for 2 years about 175 cooks under my belt, outstanding results. I have seen them also made in LSU colors.
I paid $800 plus another 90 or so in accessories

Yep, that's what you are gonna spend after getting the necessary accessories.

The primo is oval shape
Pretty sure only the XL is oval shaped. The large is round just like a BGE if I'm not mistaken.

I think I saw them at Tramonte's in Baton Rouge. It's a specialty meat and seafood place that also sells ceramic grills
