could we get a non SEC crew to officiate the Bama game?

They were solid last year.


They are gonna be hard-pressed to not frick up with the whole nation watching.

I havent had a problem with SEC refs in a while.

SEC officials are under contract to officiate SEC conference games. No way Mike Slive allows another conference's officials in a game of this magnitude.

That being said...I sure hope it isn't Ritter or Penn Wagers. I'd love for Matt Austin or Marc Curles to officiate it. The Williams guy is pretty solid....Don't have any heart burn with Hubert Owens' crew either.

Hey, it would be ok to have a non SEC crew to officiate, but if Bama agreed to that, then maybe ya'll should agree to a neutral site, like Georgia dome. I wouldn't care who called the game as long as it wasn't played in BR at night.
That is a huge advantage..............(that's a compliment by the way).

We need a comprehensive body of NCAA officials. That would get rid of this conference affiliation bullshite. Each crew should have officials who's homes are in different conference areas. That would resolve, or at least alleviate, the slant in favor of teams in Alabama and other schools which reside in the same states/cities as their respective conference offices.




And any Gump who wants to chirp about how this slant is a fabrication can take that shite somewhere else. It has been blatant for the last 5-6 years, not only in the SEC but all over the country.
