We've all watched games the last 3 years and been totally disgusted with our offense. Words like inept and pathetic come to mind. Meanwhile our record in that time has been 31-4. These two things are counterintuitive to each other, right? Wrong.

This LSU team is specifically geared to have particular ingredients, namely speed, physicality, the ability to run the ball and the ability to stop the other team from running the ball. And these things allow this team to compete with any team, any time and any place. Les is no dummy. He's not selling Ferrari's, or a Texas Tech offense, he's selling W's. I've seen high powered LSU offenses put up phenomenal numbers and then lose the game. No thank you, I'll take an ugly W over a stat padded L. Stats don't win games, scoring more points than your opponents does.

His strategy isn't perfect, but it is successful. And it's a strategy that is geared to compete against and defeat the best teams in college football. It's a strategy that has made LSU one of the most, if not the most, successful team in recent college football history.

If you want to get right to the point, this team is geared specifically to beat Alabama. Old fashioned smash mouth, great defense, stout running, feel like you just walked away from a car wreck football.

Les has two weeks to prepare for this solid Bama team, he won't need gimicks, tricks and a revamped offense to win, but you know he'll have a few tricks up his sleeve.

You think Tiger Stadium won't be jacked up on Saturday night? You know it will be....

Calling it now, LSU 16-14.

I like your optimism. His methods defy conventional wisdom and that's what drives us all nuts.

This!

Miles philosophy is to play as conservative as possible and wear down the other team. Period. That's what he does and if you don't like it, you never will.

It's the same philosophy that Alabama employs, but with effective execution on offense and a lack of fear to throw it deep or down the middle when warranted.

LSU often "out talents" other teams

13 penalties for 102 yards is all part of the genius of les miles

Who knows. They beat Lsu at home.

Lsu could only muster 6 points and that's all that matters
