Would/could he hire an under 30 wunderkind to work the offense? Crowton was a fossil when he got here. Pease/Klings/etc would be a ramp up potentially, but no guaranty.

It's a new age and a stud O would put the lipstick on the pig. Yes or no?

I see changes coming, he does well in course correct after seasons. What do you say?

2013 we will have a new O staff. Kragthorpe gets admined & Stud is gone back to MAC.

i think if a new OC comes in that is that young that they would be running the offense that miles wants to run ... since '08 we've run just about the same stuff ... crowten, coach stud and kragthorpe have all been here and supposedly billy gonzales had input as the passing coordinato

What if we gave Frank a shot at it? I mean the RB development has been top notch since he has been here. He is obviously an upcoming talent and topnotch recruiting coordinator. It's only a matter of time before another program comes in and offers him a shot. We might as well try it. We honestly cannot get any worse.

Under 30? frick no. Needs to be at least mid-late 30s/early 40s. But Chavis is in his 50s and is doing just fine.

Already happened, we bumped him. Passing game is the issue, but we have to keep frank happy, unless we lose Williams's, Willis, beckwith, etc, luster would be lost

Cheif is an amazing DC and playcaller .. makes adjustments on the fly ... and always seems to have a back up strategy ... wish he would scout the offense and give the notes to the offensive coaches to study

It doesn't matter who it is. Miles is the man in charge and the offense will be ran the way he wants it to be ran. PERIOD.

Hey that is great. So just kiss 2012 goodbye? He had weeks to prep for Bama last year and it was without a doubt not only his worst coaching effort ever, but the worst in LSU history. Maybe the worst in the history of CFB.

CLM has much to prove, beginning with a win on 11/3.

no way you're being serious right now. This might be the single, most butchered spelling attempt i've ever seen. Guaranty?

Excuse my potential ignorance, but why do posters act like Krags is owed something by LSU? Another poster suggested LSU give him a golden parachute while showing him the door.

Coaching running backs and recruiting have nothing to do with being a great offensive coordinator. L.S.U. is no place for experimental coaching "Try Outs." I'll pass on Frank. Bring in an experienced offensive coordinator and let him do his job. La.Tech OC with our defense would be hard to stop.

Maybe in a deluded corner of your world. The man has won an SEC title as recently as LAST YEAR and a quirky voting system made LSU play a team that they beat @ home last year and the statistics and averages show that it is really difficult to win the second one against a lesser team leave alone an equal team.

meh.. don't know why I bother - either you are a troll and man are you good or you are just stupid in which case I am being equally stupid in replying to you.

Maybe. My view of what happened to LSU in having to play 'Bama again is well documented. LSU got screwed. The strange thing is that I had this eerie feeling when CLM replied that he would be honored to play them again in the NCG that that was exactly what would happen.

Anyway, my Latin scholar, precisely because LSU got the shaft all those of the peanut gallery who point to the SEC crown of last year are shouting at the wind. It was not fair, but it happened. All of that is beside the point of the complete failure that CLM rolled out for that game. Everyone, especially yours truly, knew that a pass-less offense would not best Saban again. I guess CLM did not understand that and admitted as much in his post game interview in which he stated, more or less:

"I did not see that coming...."

Say what? The 5M coach did not see what an uneducated dumbass like me saw coming from Sunday? Sorry, but that just doesn't cut it. Like it or not CLM has to go through Saban to win anything. Thus far he has failed where Saban has succeeded. Anyway, .

Cal ... there is no arguing that miles has done well and that there is no way in hell he is going anywhere unless he decides to ... BUT, do you think that lsu has done as well as it can with the talent that has been here? IMO, which obviously aint worth a chit ... i think that the overall game planning and in game coaching has been decent, but in no way great ... i have no idea who i would rather besides saban and i cheer my arse off for the tigers, but sometimes wonder how other teams with FAR less talent seem to out play lsu on a regular basis
