Ray Lewis is definitely a leader and motivator for that team, but he was way past his prime as a LB. Way more of a psychological blow than production on the field.

On the field, losing Webb is a much bigger loss.

I was coming to say this. Webb made that defense what it is
If im Suggs, im not so sure i want to rush back after his injury if its not really going to matter much. Its a terribly selfish move but possibly a smarter one
ETA what I meant to say was "These are the things that happen whenever you hang around Bernard Pollard"

The bigger question concerning this injury is whether or not it ends Ray Lewis' career. Personally, I don't think he wants to go out this way.

Considering he was considering quitting last year, it's going to take a lot of motivation for him to try and come back next year.

I don't think he wants to go out this way though. Last summer he would've went out on his own terms - big difference IMO.

His son is going to the U at RB next year.
He's got a son about to start college? My back hurts.

If he can beat a murder rap, he can beat a torn tricep.

What's not to like about somebody who's been known to cut a little rug?
