He was in the 270s at LSU camp in JULY -- 3 months ago.
3 months later (OCTOBER) he is back in the 240s.
At the LSU camp, Jimmy Smith observed that Jones was still a great athlete at the heavier weight.
Discussions about his weight can be silly. Let's just appreciate his skill-set and be excited that he's going to be special at LSU...at one position or more/another.

His versatility is what makes him so critical a take for us and why many were screaming to offer him in the months before the staff wised up and offered him. Good athlete with the body type that could take him to a plethora of positions. LB or DE are most likely to be the spots but he could also play TE or even DT down the line. Just let his body and ability choose his position. Very talented kid regardless of position.
