I'm addicted to this show now that it's on netflix. How did NBC not see the potential in this show?

TV ratings were a different animal 10 years ago. Today, Freaks and Geeks would by far be the highest rated comedy on NBC.

Well thats the worst part about the show and why I tried to not get into it, because it just kind of ends.

Undeclared is also really good, and too shortlived.

It was praised but got few viewers. The network kept changing the time slot and I think skipping weeks sometimes. The commentaries on the DVD are stellar, funny and informative.

NBC always has great shows, then kills them.

Chuck, Community, Black Donnelys, etc.

I just started watching it on Netflix too. I am hooked. I love the episode with the non-alcoholic beer.

Have watched the episodes on Independent Film Channel. Need to check all of it out on Netflix.

I bet it was one of those shows that is a little too honest for some. That's what I like about it.

No matter how "cool" any teenager is they have "uncool" moments. Everyone can relate to someone in it.

Pretty much everyone on that show went on to have success as actors.

NBC is fricking dumb

But Party Down is the one show I wish was never cancelled

Just started watching this show the other day after seeing this thread.

On episode 5, pretty good.
