And how long you been trying?
I think i've been about 4 years now. No kill, stuck one but she survived it for obvious reasons.

Only kilt one in 10+ years of bow hunting but I rarely go. Trying to get back into it

This guy
Hunted my whole life but never with a bow until last year. Had several opportunities on a spike last yr at 15 yards but im not into spike killing. So im trying again this year. Pretty challenging, and i think the reward will be worth it whenever that time comes

I have killed with my bow but I have not killed a buck with my bow.
I have pretty much told myself if I am not going to hang it on the wall I won't shot it. I want my first buck with a bow to be a really nice deer.
Going on 7 yrs hunting with a bow...but the first 3 yrs was hunting on public land.

It is a rush you will have no problem giving it time to die, you wont be able to climb down for thirty mins till you stop shaking

It took me 2 seasons to kill one witha bow. As luck would have it i shot at a monster slickhead my very first bowhunt. Hit her high in no mans land. tracked her for a damn mile. Jumped her and she quit bleeding. NEver found her. I still cringe over losing that deer.
I have been bowhunting for 8 yrs and i have killed 7 does, 1 spike, & 1 7 point.
1 doe on public land last year. First public land bow kill. Was awesome.

I've only been trying for two years and not even consistently trying at that. I usually swap back to my rifle.

Any deer on Public Land is a throphy. I have always thought hunting on Public Land the first few years really has made me a better hunter.
I have let some nice bucks walks that sometimes I regret but I figure when the time does come the payoff and wait will be worth it

yea man. So much work goes into scouting, hunting, killing, and dragging a deer out of a public land area its mind boggling.
I processed that deer myself. Very gratifying. I swear she tasted better than any deer ive ever kilt.

You guys must be the sorriest bunch of so-caled bow hunters I've ever heard of. Man, I never have problems getting me a nice one nearly every year with my bow *Ouch! Dammit, that hurt! (I hate it when my nose hits the screen like that).

Thought about starting a thread for this story but I will just throw it in here. This is my 5th season of bow hunting. I have killed a pile of does but no bucks. I hunt in a good location in Mer Rouge, good bucks but have never lucked up with my bow. I bought a new bow this summer and decided I would let my bro in law shoot my old one. I took him on his 2nd bow hunt ever Sunday evening and put him on a good doe stand. He killed a 9 point
