Generally speaking, what do you think a reasonable hunters to acres ratio is for deer-still hunt?

1:150

depends on the property though, how the tract is shaped and the cover type

I've heard a lot of people say 1/100. My old club was 8 on 360. Now all 8 didn't usually hunt at the same time but could without being a safety issue but a deer didn't fart w/o us knowing

With a hunting club 1/100, if it is a club where a lot of folks don't hunt.

If you and some buds are serious hunters and looking to go into some land, 1/200 is a very good ratio. 1/150 will be very comfortable too IMO.

Good topic. As a kid I hunted in a club on 1500 acres with 50 members. Not all hunted at same time and most we had was 35 members or so on opening gun morning.

Was always nice in college to hunt mid week with only 4 or 5 other guys on 1500 acres
