If the USC center is still out, star lutoupoli or whatever his name is is going to absolutely dominate the line of scrimmage.
USC has their back against the wall, if they lose their second conference game before playing UO, they may not play for the PAC championship.
Weird game night, on the road in the mountains. Thin air.
Utah hasn't been nearly as impressive as I would have thought so far this year.
Who wins this game and why?

I picked Utah to win before the season started. It's a Thursday night road game, hostile environment, high altitude (4,333 feet above sea level) and Khaled Holmes (starting Center) has a high ankle sprain that he re-injured during the Cal game.
USC has struggled to protect Barkley at times this season, and when that happens, and we are unable to run the ball effectively, he's been very mistake-prone.
Why I feel we have a shot at winning: Utah's offense blows goats. They lost their starting QB at the beginning of the season, and the replacement guy hasn't exactly been lights out.
Also, USC's DL has been awesome so far this season. Morgan Breslin is a beast.

Utah has the best DT in the country and a top ten pick.
USC's C is a joke like you mentioned.
That will determine who wins, imo

USC should win this game but Thursday night games are always weird.

I had no idea the starting qb for the utes has been out

Yeah, Jordan Wynn. He's not only out for the season, but he's quit football permanently.

Utah is not BYU
I was thinking the same thing, then I realized the state is full of Mormons, not just ones that go to BYU.
But BYU is known much more for Mormons than any other school.

The Utah utes are referred to in this thread as the Mormons.

After watching the Stanford game and listening to the announcers talk about the loss of Holmes, I would say that if he is not playing then USC has no shot. Evidently Holmes also handles the outside pass rushers on both sides of the ball while handling both DT's. We shouldn't forget that if he Holmes plays the SC defense does not get gashed by the running game nor do they let tight ends run free down the seam.

I just hope another team beats USC soon b/c I don't want to be subjected to more segments like today on College Football Daily where they go through what has to happen to every top 15 team for USC to get back into the title game.
Dari Nowkhah is actually defending USC's weak schedule by pumping up an Arizona St team that lost to Mizzou.

MVP!
It's become painfully obvious when he is out USC and Barkley on O suck balls.
Stanford wasn't even that good of a team...which means USC is average without him and just good with him.
Utah will stuff the run. If the O-line can't protect Barkley and the D just concentrates on Woods and Lee...and USC has no creative flow or rhythm, it could get ugly for USC. Only USC's D can save them. They will have to pitch a great game and get to the QB for sacks. If Utah scores 17 points or more...USC will probably lose.

If USC gives the ball to McNeal they win by 30, its that simple.

We both picked USC to lose two games...
I picked Stanford (because of two Omens...Barkley had never beat them and USC can never seem to win it's Pac 12 road opener going back to last decade.)
Sadly, it came true.
I also picked tonight's game or Oregon.
Good news, if we lose tonight...then by prediction we win out...
...and beat Oregon and ND and get to hear the talking heads at the end of the year proclaim that nobody in the country is playing better than USC.
