It was quite well done with regards to breaking up the issues. I do hope , as the author suggested, that this OL would be the right mix up now and what remains is merely tweaking of penalties, butterfingers and RB/TE blocking.

A very sound report, but i know we aren't this damn bad.

i agree about this being a fair report...he pointed out several good things as well...
as well as validating my observation about seeing flashes of brilliance in the offense...

I believe if the team improves in just one of the 257 areas the writer listed, it might have a domino effect, leading to improvement in other areas. My biggest hope: the o-line mans up and performs as it must if we're to have a great season.

That article is a compilation of everything all the realistic and honest Rant posters have been saying.
I'm sure the TCP's, (Thought Control Police) "Pumper People" and all the other various species of Hear-Speak-See no evil individuals didn't like reading that one bit. Realistic and honest opinions are a threat to their ego's.

Thanks for the link. A fair assessment from the author.

It's all about turnovers. Fix that and we are golden

I think the writer hit the nail on the head about the loss of Honey Badger. It isn't just his talent we lose; it's the swagger he gave the team last year. He's an enormous loss and cannot be replaced. The Auburn game this year might well have gone the way the Arkansas and Georgia games went last year if he were playing.

This wasn't even close to being one of the more important points in the article. And please, please avoid saying "swagger".

I Kige this. i
if the Oline can suddenly learn to pass block, then who knows, maybe russel shepard will learn to get separation and not tackle himself in the open field. maybe he will learn to catch a football without stopping and bracing himself for the catch....
If that domino falls, then who knows, maybe Ford and Hilliard will get a clue on how to block a blitzer instead of going falling down in front of a guy, striking the fetal position and helping Mettenberger get up off the ground...the sky is the limit

Does this mean we can give up on this season now?

If this is true, then LSU may not be a championship team in 2012. Championship teams do not need tricks or competition to remain focused on the task at hand.
