He gains a lot by playing. He could be playing a high school team, it doesn't matter.
the more snaps he takes, the better his timing will be, the more comfortable he'll be with the offense..it's only his 5th start ever. He's still learning.

I agree that Rivers should get some snaps but there is no way in hell that Rivers needs to start. We need to throw the ball often today with Mett to get his confidence and his timing with the receivers down.
