Map out all of your paths to banking and then determine the success rate/risk, cost and return of each. All of that information is available online. My guess is that even when you factor in the acceptance rates at MBA programs like Booth and Wharton, you'll still have the greatest probability of breaking into banking via a path through one of those schools. Granted 3 LSU MFin grads in 3 years is only a 4% chance which doesn't set the bar very high.
