When you spool a spinning rod lay the spool flat on the ground where the line uncoils the same direction as it goes back onto the spinning reel. If you do that there won't be any twist.
Also, always manually flip the bail. If you are using a bait like an in-line spinner or similar, invest in some good swivels.
