For LSU Offense, it's Business as Usual

quote:

On Saturday, Mettenberger looked like a combination of Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson. Lee’s athleticism and Jefferson’s passing ability

Mett has to catch those dropped passes as well?

People dont bother clicking the link. This is who wrote it.

And the guy certainly has no idea what he is looking at if that was his view of Mettenberger from the Auburn game.

not even close. It wasn't Mett's throwing ability that kept the game close it was penalties and drops.

Horrible assessment IMO. Mett made some mistakes but he also made a couple of throws that Jefferson could never make. The first fumble was on Porter(actually recovered by LSU but given to Auburn by the officials). He will learn to get rid of the ball properly. A much bigger issue is the LSU receivers running proper routes and catching the ball. But I think that will get worked out sooner than later.

Fluff piece for Florida.

We will beat Florida by 2 TDs on the road. It will be close until the 3rd quarter. Florida doesn't have the bullets for a full game on defense.

Besides the marginal QB and good RB, what does Floria's offensive have behind that? Not much.

LSU footgall right not, offensively, ain't pretty but it works all so well. It wears you down. Period.

there is one thing i really like about the liberal amount of articles and blogs about LSU in the last few years (and esp. this year). WE HAVE ARRIVED! LSU is newsworthy on the national scene. we used to be pretty much ignored. everyone talked about uscw, notre dame, tejas, michigan, ohio st., oklahoma and some others. NOW THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT frickING LSU! wahooooo!

And one of these years, they'll have something positive to say!

Yhe first fumble was NOT on Porter. The replay showed thatthe line all got of the ball together AND the ball went through Mett's hands.

I do not understand how that can be on the center....

I guess JJ never felt with receivers dropping balls? This isn't exactly a new problem. The difference is that Mett has fewer throws not on target.

The first fumble was Mett's fault. The center put the ball where it's supposed to be. Mett started backing away to soon and wasn't really looking down. This is a myth on Tigerrant thy it was Porter's fault. What else can he do but put the ball in an area for Mett to grab.

Kentucky was gashing Florida's D running the ball. And without their first string QB they had little passing threat. I like our chances.
